Just watched another IMDB top 250 of all time gem, Cabinet des Dr. Caligari., Das. A German silent film released in 1920 starring Werner Krauss, the movie takes you on a Tim Burton-esque journey into mental illness. If you remember the scene from Beetlejuice when Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin were walking through hell, you have a glimpse of what all of the sets were like in this movie. Incredibly creepy and way ahead of its time.
This is a movie I will have to buy to have in my library and was an easy addition to my list of films that garner the five e Feeeeelm rating!

Finally got around to watching one of Sam’s contributions to this site and wow, what a maiden voyage! Knowing I liked Donnie Darko, Sam recommended I watch Southland Tales right away and I am glad I did. It is easily a five e feelm and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would say it is not as polished as Donnie Darko was, but from an out there story and all of the cool cinematography that Richard Kelly brings to the table, this movie was killer.

Like a B Movie monster, the Feelms website has been re-animated! I don’t want to throw the person responsible for the first failure under the bus, but his gaming name sounds a lot like Mark Squats. I am still working on how to organize the site to best share all things Feelmish, so for now consider it a work in progress. In addition, I am in the process of recruting my good buddy Sam to share insights on some of his favorite movies from his incredible movie collection!

Check out the Feeeeelms tab at the top of this page. This is my first pass at movies that qualify for the coveted 5 “e” rating. Over time I will add my thoughts on each of these movies. For now, I have the titles linked to their IMDB page.
